Support Services

All of our services are done out of Christian love for the community. While religion and God are never forced upon those who visit, each support service was created to extend a loving hand to those in need.

Pregnancy Testing - Think you're pregnant? Let's be sure. We offer a free, confidential pregnancy test. You will know the results during your appointment. While the most common symptom of pregnancy is missing a period, it doesn't mean that you are pregnant. No matter how the test comes out, we are here to help. Make an appointment or walk-in during the center’s welcome hours.

Ultrasound - A free ultrasound is provided for mothers and fathers to get a look at their child in the womb and see the heartbeat of the new life within. This helps parents decide the best option for their baby and themselves. Ultrasounds are performed before ___weeks to make sure the pregnancy is viable. Our registered sonographer, nurse, and obstetrician doctor review the ultrasound with you and assist in answering any questions you may have. An appointment is necessary for this service.

Pregnancy Verification - If your pregnancy test is positive, our trained professionals can provide you with a Verification of Pregnancy form free of charge. The Verification of Pregnancy form is required to apply for Medicaid and other state health insurance programs. The form must be signed by a nurse, doctor, or a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).

Earn While You Learn - This program provides a support system to parents who are preparing to bring a child into the world. Attending the childcare and pregnancy wellness classes give mothers and fathers the incentive to earn points to use towards diapers, formula, and other baby items in the center’s baby boutique. Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) - Our SRA volunteers present a program called, I Decide for ME. The aim of I Decide for Me, is to make each student aware of their true value and worth, the benefits of abstinence, and the risks of being sexually active before marriage. The presentation is focused on abstinence, but also emphasizes making healthy choices. Topics such as drugs, alcohol, pornography use, and sharing of inappropriate content via social media are also discussed. The students are given tools and information to assist them in making healthy choices for themselves as well as their future spouse.

This program is offered to all Darke county schools reaching approximately 500 area high school students each year. The districts of Ansonia, Arcanum, Greenville, Mississinawa, and Tri-Village currently have the program presented to either their freshman or sophomore classes. Find out more

Fatherhood Classes - This is a male mentoring program to educate men on how to raise a family and to be a healthy father figure. The program is offered by male facilitators and covers a wide range of topics focusing on developing men as fathers and husbands. This class is part of the Earn While You Learn program.

Our male facilitators assist fathers in developing confidence in their ability to meet the challenges they may face in their family and future. We provide a course curriculum to aid in understanding the stages of enhancing parenting skills and developing healthy personal relationships. The lessons are intended to help meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of clients.

The knowledge gained is valuable in dealing with everyday issues in the family and child development. This program offers clients opportunities for learning and personal growth while earning points that can be used to “purchase” new and used items from our Baby Boutique.
